District 38 Mill Levy Override Information

The WIA Board of Directors is providing the attached information sheets concerning a proposed School District 38 Mill Levy Override as a community service to WIA members. While the Board has had the opportunity to receive a presentation by Superintendent K.C. Somers and accepts his factual analysis of the challenges D38 has in providing adequate compensation to teachers, the Board recognizes that each property owner will have to determine for themselves whether to vote in favor of the proposed mill levy override. This issue will come before District voters at the November 2022 election and given the timing of this issue, your Board thought it prudent to provide Association members with this information which was prepared by District 38.
