Announcements for the July 4th holiday

Announcement

Even though there are no current fire bans issued by the El Paso County Sheriff, fireworks, campfires, and open burning are NEVER allowed in Woodmoor. Fire is our biggest threat to the community. WPS will have extra officers on duty patrolling the Woodmoor area and watching for fireworks violations. If you see someone lighting fireworks, even sparklers, please call the WPS cell phone at 719-499-9771.

You are allowed to have an ACC approved fire pit with a spark arrestor or a gas fire pit. Burning of slash, pine needles, etc. is never allowed in a firepit or open area. Please click here for the flyer, which explains that if you are caught, you could receive a fine starting at $5,000.

The WIA Office will be closed Thursday, July 4th and Friday, July 5th. The office will reopen Monday, July 8th at 8 am.

PLEASE HAVE A SAFE JULY 4TH HOLIDAY!
