The Forest Service will be conducting a prescribed burn of approximately 900 acres over the course of 3 days on the Pike National Forest. The location is the area commonly referred to as the Monument Preserve just west of the Town of Monument. The dates of the burn are weather-dependent, but please refer to the tentative schedule below.
- Primary burn schedule dates: June 11-13
- Potential of rain may postpone the burn one day: June 12-14
- Potential of unfavorable overall weather may postpone the burn one week: June 16-18
