Woodmoor Improvement Association is a member of NEPCO (Northern El Paso County Coalition of Community Organizations), and as a resident of Woodmoor, you are also a member of NEPCO. They represent 49 member HOAs in northern El Paso County. Below is a copy of a recent email that WIA received from the NEPCO Secretary. TO: NEPCO Reps and HOA Presidents
Bob Mooney will be stepping down from the NEPCO Transportation and Land Use Committee (TLUC) at the end of August after serving as Chairman for over a year. Bob has done an exceptional job of establishing communication links with all the right people in the county and in Monument. He also has all the web site addresses to allow NEPCO to review and comment on land use proposals and developments impacting NEPCO member HOAs. He will be missed.
The NEPCO Board of Directors is therefore seeking a member to replace Bob. We need someone who is interested in commenting on development proposals in our area, chairing a committee, organizing tasks, and learning about the land development processes in the county and the Town of Monument. Bob will be happy to train a volunteer and provide all the connections he has made.
We are confident there is someone in NEPCO’s 49 member HOAs consisting of about 9,000 homes who would love to take on this volunteer work. Please forward this request to as many of your HOA homeowners as possible through your email list, website, newsletter, or other means to help us find that volunteer. When you have a potential volunteer, please send the person’s name and contact information to NEPCO’s President, Mike Aspenson, at president@nepco.org or NEPCO’s Vice President, Bob Swedenburg, at vicepresident@nepco.org. Mike or Bob will then contact the individual and further explain the job’s activities.
